Remote Car Inspection for Interstate Buyers
Found a car in South East Queensland but live interstate, overseas or hours away? We inspect it where it’s parked across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast and send you the report the same day, so you can decide before you travel or pay.
Remote Buyers
Inspecting a Car From Afar
A remote car inspection lets you check a used car in South East Queensland without being there. You book online or by phone and send us the listing and the seller’s details, and the inspector arranges a time with the seller and inspects the car where it’s parked. The Standard inspection ($250) covers 150 points, with a road test where the car can be driven. Premium ($395) covers 250+ and adds full paint-depth mapping, live diagnostic data and a market valuation. Both include a PPSR certificate, which shows whether the car is recorded as stolen or written off, or has money owing on it.
The digital report and photos arrive by email the same day, and the inspector can call you to talk it through. If the car checks out, you go ahead knowing its condition. If it doesn’t, you’ve saved the trip.
No Wasted Trip
Find out about a bad car before you book a flight or drive for hours.
Photos of the Problems
See the faults for yourself in the report, not just a description.
VIN Checked
The car's identity checked against its paperwork, with a PPSR certificate.
A Call With the Inspector
Ask your questions before you decide, if you'd like a call.
01
Send Us the Car
Book online or call, and send the listing link, the car’s location and the seller’s details. If the seller hasn’t confirmed a time, the inspector can call them to arrange it.
02
We Inspect It Where It’s Parked
At the seller’s home, a dealer’s yard or an auction: 150 points on Standard or 250+ on Premium, with a road test where the car can be driven.
03
You Decide From Anywhere
The digital report and photos arrive the same day, with the PPSR certificate. Ask, and the inspector will call to go through it.
The report shows you:
- The car's overall condition
- Faults, with photos
- What needs attention now
- What can wait
Decide before you travel.
If it checks out, go ahead. If it doesn’t, keep looking.
Paying Safely
Before You Send Any Money
Fake car listings tend to share the same signs: a low price, a seller who can’t meet you, and a request for a deposit to hold the car. A few checks protect you:
- Have the car inspected before you pay anything
- Get a PPSR certificate: it shows money owing, write-offs and stolen records
- Check the VIN on the car matches the registration papers
- Be wary of a price well under market, or a seller who can't be there
- Pay the registered owner, not a third party or a "shipping agent"

After the Report
If the Car Checks Out
When the report is good, you can pay the seller and organise collection or transport, knowing what you’re buying. If it shows problems, you can ask for repairs first, negotiate the price, or walk away without having travelled.
- Pay the seller once you're happy with the report
- Arrange collection or transport
- Staying in Queensland? Transfer the registration within 14 days
- Moving it interstate? Check your own state's registration rules
Premium adds a market valuation, handy when you can't compare cars in person.

Do I need to be there?
No. The inspector meets the car and the seller, and you get the report with photos the same day.
Can you inspect a car for an overseas buyer?
Yes, if the car is in our areas. Book online or call, and the report comes to you by email.
What if the seller won't let you inspect?
That’s worth knowing in itself. A genuine seller will usually agree to an independent inspection at a time that suits them.
Can you check a 4WD or EV from a distance?
Yes. Add the 4×4, ute or van check ($49) or the EV or hybrid check ($60) to Standard, or choose Premium. More on 4WD inspections and EV inspections.
How much does a remote inspection cost?
$250 for Standard or $395 for Premium, the same as any inspection, with a PPSR certificate. See the packages.
