- Sunshine Coast Mobile Inspections
Pre-Purchase Car Inspection Sunshine Coast
From Caloundra to Noosa, we inspect used cars, caravans and motorhomes where they’re parked. Call to book: Standard inspections are $250 with a PPSR certificate, and the report comes the same day.
Booking a Car Inspection on the Sunshine Coast
Sunshine Coast inspections are booked by phone. Call 1800 372 001 between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday (Sundays by appointment), and we’ll set a time to meet the car. A Standard inspection costs $250 and covers 150 points: the engine and cooling system, gearbox, brakes, steering, suspension, tyres, body, underside and electrics, including a load test on the battery and a scan for stored fault codes. If the car can legally be driven, it also gets a road test of 5 to 7 km. You receive a digital report with 30-plus photos on the day, together with a PPSR certificate.
Premium, at $395, covers 250+ points, with extra checks for 4WDs, utes, electric and hybrid cars and prestige models, plus full paint-depth mapping and a market valuation. We serve Caloundra, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Nambour and Noosa, and the suburbs and towns between them.

Caravans and Motorhomes
Buying a Caravan or Motorhome?
We inspect caravans and motorhomes as well as cars. In Queensland, a caravan with an aggregate trailer mass (ATM) between 750 kg and 4,500 kg needs a safety certificate when it changes owners, just like a car. That certificate covers basic safety items, not the condition of everything else. And even from a dealer, a caravan comes with no statutory warranty (a motorhome generally does), so faults found after the sale are yours to fix.
Worth checking before you buy a van:
- Signs of water getting in around windows, hatches and the roof
- The chassis, drawbar, coupling and brakes
- How much the van weighs loaded, against what your tow vehicle can tow
Call 1800 372 001 before you book, so we can talk through the van or motorhome and what you want checked.
Caravans Too
And motorhomes, not just cars
Low-Kilometre Cars
Low Kilometres Don't Always Mean Low Risk
A car that has spent years in a garage can look almost new and still need work. Tyres harden with age even when the tread looks fine, batteries weaken, fluids age where they sit, and seals and hoses dry out. Brakes that aren’t used can rust on the discs. It pays to have someone check before you pay extra for low kilometres.
What We Check on a Car That's Been Sitting
- Tyre condition and cracking, not just tread depth
- Battery health under load
- Brake discs, pads and fluid
- Oil, coolant and leaks from dried-out seals
- Warning lights and stored fault codes
Low kilometres are still worth paying for when the car checks out. The report tells you whether it does.
Unregistered Cars
Inspecting an Unregistered Car
Some cars, such as older cars and project cars, are sold unregistered. In Queensland, a used unregistered car needs a safety certificate and new registration before it goes back on the road. To drive it to those inspections you need a CTP insurance certificate, and for any other trip, the Queensland Government says you need an unregistered vehicle permit.
- We inspect it where it's parked, so it doesn't have to move
- The road test only happens if the car can legally be driven
- The rest of the 150-point list still gets checked
- A PPSR certificate, because a statutory write-off can never be registered again
Tell us when you call that the car is unregistered, so we can plan the inspection around it.
